Like many of you dads out there, I am spending the majority of my time at home. This will not last forever, but practicing proper social distancing is likely going to be the way of life for the next few months, if not longer. If you have been inactive during the quarantine, and if you’re wondering how to lose weight at home, then read on. This pandemic can be an incredible opportunity for you to transform your life.
Eighteen months ago I was introduced to a health plan that has guided me, at 31 years of age, to be stronger, faster, and healthier than ever before. Below I will share two personal experiences that illustrate how to lose weight at home. I will also share a Google Form which you can fill out if you are interested in a 30-minute no obligation health assessment. Finally, I will reveal eight reasons now is the perfect time to lose weight.
Getting Personal
As a newly married 22-year-old, I was in great shape. I was actively exercising 3 – 4 times per week. I didn’t have kids, a mortgage, or really any serious responsibilities. It was easy for me to remain steady at 185 pounds. My philosophy had always been: “I am young and active, so I’m going to eat whatever I want since I won’t ever gain any weight.” In other words, I associated weight loss with activity.
You are likely smiling at this point because you know what I’m about to say… A few years later, while working a ton of hours for my employer, eating out virtually every day, and with two boys joining the family, I was hardly exercising. Thankfully I only put on 20 pounds or so, but I know others who are not so fortunate.
Let me be clear: the overtime, eating out, and extra responsibilities contributed to my weight gain, but if I had known then what I know now, I would not have gained that weight. I am confident now that I have the knowledge I need to maintain optimal health. It does not matter how busy you are… anyone can lose weight when they associate weight loss with nutrition.
Lose Weight Without Exercise
In October 2018 I put this “weight loss by nutrition” philosophy to the test. I didn’t eat sweets or bread over the course of about 6 weeks. However, when on two separate occasions I became violently light headed after physical exertion, I decided to enlist the help of a coach.
My neighbor had mentioned to me that she was a health coach… I contacted her, and after a 30-minute no-obligation health assessment, I determined to buy what she had to offer. The best part was I didn’t have to come up with extra money. Instead, rather than buying my own food, I bought my health coach’s food. Following her proven plan, I lost ten pounds in two weeks with no exercise! Fellow dads, I know you are busy. You have a lot on your plates, and it’s easy to neglect your health. But if you are ready to dig deep, try something new, and experience optimal health, then fill out this Google Form and I will contact you to schedule a 30-minute no-obligation health assessment.
How To Eat An Elephant
Creighton W. Abrams, Jr. once said: “When eating an elephant take one bite at a time.” Rather than trying to lose weight, build muscle, and increase your cardiovascular endurance all at once, why not simply focus on losing weight first? Please understand what I am saying here, since this simple fact was mind-blowing to me when I heard it… You do not need to exercise to lose weight. Once I’ve helped you reach your optimal weight, I’ll assist you in maintaining that weight loss through a daily exercise plan. After all, achieving a healthy weight is only a step in the quest for optimal health.
Have you ever tried to lose weight, but you bit off more than you could chew (pun intended)? I have spent more time in the gym during the month of January than I have in the other eleven months of the year combined. I have watched a plethora of workout videos, made questionable food purchases, and literally said out loud the phrase: “I will never eat sweets again.” Drastic changes most often lead to failure. Now I’m not saying my plan is easy, but I am saying that anyone can do it if they put their mind to it. And even better – it works. I personally know two individuals who lost over 50 pounds in 2019 with this plan. Here are eight reasons now is the perfect time to lose weight.
Eight Reasons Now Is The Perfect Time To Lose Weight
- Boost Your Immunity To Combat COVID-19
- Good News, Not Bad News
- Your Gym Is Closed
- Less Peer Pressure
- You Are Tired Of Cooking
- Talk Of The Office
- Your Spouse And Children
- Uplifting Community And Optimistic Coach
#1 – Boost Your Immunity To Combat COVID-19
If you are exposed to the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, a strong immune system will assist you in fighting it. In fact, maintaining good health will help you combat a host of diseases. My health plan will: 1) assist you in consuming 100% of your necessary daily vitamins and minerals; 2) guide your body into a fat burning state; and 3) help you lose on average 3 – 5 pounds each of the first two weeks and 1 – 2 pounds each week thereafter.
Our 30-minute no-obligation health assessment phone call, and then allowing me to be your health coach, will help you address each question asked in this Google Form. You will understand this as you fill out the form, but optimal health is much more than just your weight. Not only will I help you lose weight, but we will focus on sleep, physical activity, and managing stress. I am confident that what I have to offer will work for you.
#2 – Good News, Not Bad News
I don’t watch the news and I have turned off all news notifications. If something really important happens, then I am 100% confident that someone will tell me about it. It is my opinion that the focus in the media is mostly negative, and I don’t want these negative influences in my life.
If all the negativity in the media has got you down, why not focus on something more positive and uplifting? No matter how much time you spend watching the stock market or tracking the spread of COVID-19, the best thing you can do is to make a positive health change to boost your immunity so that you are around to serve your family and other loved ones for many years to come.
#3 – Your Gym Is Closed
For years, I paid $10 per month to my local gym, even though I rarely went there to exercise. I often told myself that I would get back in the gym next week, next month, or next year, and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of signing up for a gym pass again. I bet I’m not the only one who has experienced this… As such, when my health coach instructed me to take a break from exercising and to focus instead on weight loss, I found it difficult to justify since I was paying for a gym membership.
Thankfully I didn’t let this unease dissuade me from taking my coach’s advice. Plus, if your gym is closed, you won’t have the same conflict that I had. Unless you have already transitioned to a consistent workout plan at home, now is an excellent time to try something new.
#4 – Less Peer Pressure
How often does your company or your co-workers bring donuts, bagels, and other junk food into the office? I love food, and it is incredibly difficult to say ‘no.’ But now that you’re working from home and you don’t have those hard decisions to make, you can take advantage of this time that you aren’t being bombarded with poor choices at the office.
#5 – You Are Tired Of Cooking
Guess what… this health plan calls for one full cooked meal per day while the food for the other five of your six daily meals is delivered to your door. You won’t need to buy crazy ingredients, spend hours concocting intense recipes, or wander around your local grocery store looking for quinoa. This is also different than Blue Apron or those other meal delivery services where you still need to prepare, cook, and clean up… I will explain more in your 30-minute no-obligation health assessment, but on this plan you will eat six times per day, and only one of those times will be a full cooked meal.
#6 – Talk Of The Office
I have only seen memes making fun of all the weight that everyone is going to gain during the pandemic. And sure, the memes are funny, I get it. Many people are panicking about this weight gain because they do not know how to lose weight at home. Rather than accepting defeat, I want you to imagine the look on your co-workers’ faces when you stroll back into the office after the pandemic looking trim and fit! Heck, you could film the whole thing, it would be epic!
#7 – Your Spouse And Children
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said: “Your actions speak so loudly, I cannot hear what you are saying.” You have likely been spending a lot of time with your spouse and children. As they are your closest and most loyal spectators, there is no better time than now to give them a front row seat to your physical transformation. Just think of the impact you would make on their lives by making a positive change in your own life during a difficult time.
I absolutely love being a dad. My boys push me to be better and do better each day. Raef, my 4-year-old, will say things like: “it’s time to stretch” or “I want to run on the treadmill.” It is important to me to be healthy, and my boys at a young age have already caught on that their dad cares about being healthy. So, even though it’s not easy to wake up at 5:00 a.m. every day, I do it anyway because it makes Raef’s day when he can come get me in the basement at 6:00 a.m. when I’m wrapping up my workout. You can do this – fill out this Google Form and let’s set up a 30-minute no-obligation health assessment.
#8 – Uplifting Community And Optimistic Coach
I have heard it said that approximately eighty-five percent of people who go on a diet without behavioral support gain the weight back within two years. Take it from me, you shouldn’t do this on your own. I truly achieved goals once I enlisted a coach. And just like me, thousands of other people have experienced life changing physical transformations following this health plan. There is no better time than right now to learn how to lose weight at home during this pandemic. If you are interested, let’s schedule a time for a no-obligation health assessment interview and we can get you started on the path to optimal health.

Have A Plan
I have mentioned previously the importance of having a plan. My daily consistency is only possible because of my health plan. As your coach, I can help you make the same changes that I have experienced over the past 18 months. I can help you to look and feel better than you have in years, if not ever! I can cheer you on as you make positive changes that will propel you for years to come.
If this is something that interests you, let’s connect for a 30-minute no-obligation health assessment so that I can teach you how to lose weight at home during this pandemic. If you haven’t already, fill out this Google Form and I will reach out to you to set up a 30-minute no-obligation health assessment. It is oftentimes the greatest challenges and trials in our lives that provide us with the most rewarding opportunities for growth. This pandemic isn’t any different… I honestly believe that now is the perfect time to lose weight, take control, and never look back.
