Here is the best thing I heard (What?), saw (Eye.), and read (Read.) this week, as well as the best idea (π‘) I developed.
What?
followHim Podcast β Jacob 5-7 β Dr. Matthew L. Bowen:
- “President Benson, ‘The Book of Mormon exposes the enemies of Christ. It shows you the evil designs, strategies, and doctrines of the devil in our days.’ As I read these type of chapters, I should be looking for strategies. People who want to shake my faith, what are they going to do? I can read these chapters, and when I see it, I already know it’s going to happen.”
Eye.
April 2024 General Conference:
- After last speaking in the October 2022 General Conference, it was great to see President Jeffrey R. Holland in attendance at the April 2024 General Conference. His address (“Motions of a Hidden Fire“) was powerful and inspiring!
Read.
“Eat Fat, Get Thin: Why the Fat We Eat Is the Key to Sustained Weight Loss and Vibrant Health” by Mark Hyman, MD:
- “Eat 4 to 6 ounces of protein at each meal. … The average person needs about 0.68 gram per pound of body weight per day (or 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight per day); you may need to adjust that up if you exercise vigorously or are recovering from an illness. Pay attention to how your body feels and you’ll know. You can learn by experimenting and recording your observations each day. Check your hunger, energy level, cravings, and amount and quality of sleep to see how they change according to more or less protein. If you feel fatigued or sluggish, it may be a signal that you require more protein.”

Text someone, or post on social media, about the best thing I heard, read, and saw during the week – make my weekly learning more social.
- What I learn each week brings me joy.
- “A Higher Joy“, Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, April 2024 General Conference: “Joy is like a barrel of flour or a jar of oil that will never run out. True joy multiplies when it is shared. It doesnβt require something grand or complicated.”
